The Junior League of Asheville is excited to have you join us in the Be the Change Challenge, a 5K fundraiser to be held on April 15th with a virtual option April 1st – 16th. JLA encourages registrants to skip, hop, walk, run, or race the event, which will also act as a fundraiser for the JLA. Funds raised for this event will directly support the Be the Change Grant and programs of the Junior League of Asheville.
JLA will be awarding $5,000 through the Be the Change Grant to regional Western North Carolina nonprofits, with a focus on organizations that serve vulnerable individuals and children. For more information, please visit the grant information here.
In person: April 15th 8:30am registration, 9am start time
Virtual: April 1st – April 16th
Early Bird Registration: February 15th – March 20th
$40 (includes shirt & drink ticket for Pleb)
Participants registering prior to March 21st will receive their t-shirt prior to the event** at an in-person pickup. See details below.
Regular Registration: March 21 -April 15
$45 (drink ticket included, shirt not guaranteed)
Participants registering between March 20th and April 15th are not guaranteed a shirt.

HI-Wire Brewery Big Top on Tuesday April 11th from 5:30 – 8pm
Pleb Urban Winery on Saturday, April 15th from 8:30am – 12pm
Registrants can opt for shipping if they prefer.
All proceeds from the Be the Change Challenge directly benefit the Junior League of Asheville and their mission, including the Be the Change Grant. In 2022, Grant Recipients were: Babies Need Bottoms, Helpmate, Loving Food Resources, Project Dignity WNC, and Read 2 Succeed. In 2021 Grant Recipients were: Babies Need Bottoms, Helpmate, Homeward Bound, Project Dignity, and Western Carolina Rescue Ministries.
