The Junior League of Asheville (JLA) is dedicated to actively seeking and seizing opportunities that improve our community through effective action and leadership of our trained volunteers.

We work to build coalitions between nonprofit organizations to address the needs and opportunities for improvement in our community.

We prioritize the development of our members and their potential while promoting volunteerism and robust community engagement. Our members can expect:

• Advocacy training
• Direct service opportunities
• Leadership development training
• Opportunity to connect with like-minded women

Our organization offers professional and personal development opportunities through a variety of training events and leadership opportunities. Our goal is to train volunteers to take leadership roles in our organization and in our community.

Responsibilities of Active Membership

• Payment of annual dues.
• Fulfilling an annual fundraising and volunteer hour requirement.
• Participation in a League committee placement.
• Attend General Membership Meetings and other signature League events.

Transfer & Reinstatement

If you were once a member of JLA and want to reconnect with us, email membership@juniorleagueofasheville.org and request reinstatement.

If you were a member of a Junior League in another city, we welcome you as a transfer! Your transfer request must be initiated from your previous League, so please contact them directly. If you have questions or need assistance with your transfer, email membership@juniorleagueofasheville.org.
